The Mission:

Hi Everyone!

So,                                                                                                       What is this "Mission"?

What is this ATV Charity Drive?

Why do I need your donation...?

There has been a thoughtless act of vandalism in our neighboring town of Charlton, Ma.
Apparently a few local young "residents" on ATV’s did quite a bit of damage to a new youth soccer field, which is privately owned and paid for by the league members and families in and around the surrounding towns. With the deep budget cuts towns and youth sport leagues are facing- this kind of vandalism deeply affects the local parks & recreation programs that our children enjoy every spring, summer and fall.

The Statement:

I’m part of a very large network of responsible atv’ers in the New England
area. A lot of us stay in touch via a website called the "ATV Connection Magazine" (
http://atvconnection.com) We as a group don’t condone this kind of private property abuse and vandalism. Careless people who ride atv’s effect more then just the property they're vandalising...

Responsible ATV'ers in Massachusetts can not afford to sit idly by when irresponsible ATV owners destroy public or privates property. There must be an aggressive and proactive approach in speaking out against this kind of vandalism!

On behalf of all respectful ATV’ers in New England- It's NOT ok to ruin someone elses property in a moment of careless recreation!

The Plan:

I have decided to organize an “ATV Charity Drive” in an attempt to raise awareness and collect enough donations to help pay for these vandalized youth soccer fields. Currently, the soccer field is in an "un-usable" condition until irrigation and turf repairs are assessed and eventually completed.

I'm working with local town officials and organizations to secure an area where this event can be held. The "drive" part of the charity is currently under construction and I will hopefully have definitive answers to "where" & "when" within the next week or two.

Until then, I’m asking friends, family and local atv'ers to please consider a small donation in support of this event. This kind of vandalism effects us all as ATV'ers and as a community who enjoy watching our children play sports on premium fields.

ATV’ers who donate will be invited to an "after ride" celebration where everyone can enjoy other aspects of the charity- like a BBQ and possibly other activities held by local sponsers.

ATV'ers looking to be part of the “charity drive” are being
asked to donate at least $20 per ATV regerstration.

If you don’t own an ATV but would still like to make a small donation, attend
the BBQ or volunteer on location during the event, your support would be much appreciated!
